Ógras Summer Camps are back!

We don't need to explain to you that things have been a bit touch and go for the past few years with everyone getting used to the ever-changing 'new normal'. No matter the situation though, Ógras was ready to adapt and rise to the occasion with online and outdoor events and clubs to keep our members involved and having fun safely and through Irish - and this year is no different as we are thrilled to be running our famous Summer Camps again! We are excited apply all we've learned old and new, and we are gearing up for 2022 to be the best year for Ógras Summer Camps yet!

Of course in the interest of creating a safe and personalised environment and deliver the quality youth work Ógras takes pride in, the camps will have limited spaces and there will be a conscious emphasis on everybody's health and safe fun by consistently observing HSE guidelines and our own camp ethos and standards of practice.

We'll be getting up to lots of activities at the camps - The "classics" such as Conversation Circles, Sports, games etc., and a day trip on one of the days, then in addition will be new events & refreshed schedule of activities such as Workshops, Dancing, Treasure Hunts, Ógras Programmes.... and so much more!

Ógras Summer Camps are rightfully well-known for our fun, high quality youth work, and we simply can't wait to see you all there. There is lots more information about the Camps below and you can Register directly here:

Ógras is now using the Easypayments Plus registration system to simplify payments for all involved. If you already have an Easypayments Plus account, you will be able to use it here and simply add the extra details that are required and for the relevant camps. If you do not already use Easypayments, you can register for an account quickly, easily and free of charge - and perhaps more importantly, you will save time here from now on!! The EPP system is straightforward enough, but it is new to us as well, so don't be afraid to contact us if you have any issues.

Our Summer Camps go very well every year and the young people who attend always enjoy themselves immensely, so we are delighted that we to be able to give our regulars, members old and new and anyone looking for fun activities through Irish, the experience they deserve and expect from Ógras. The camps present young people with the opportunity to use the Irish they have in a playful and enjoyable environment, picking up new words and phrases as they go as a result, building the young people’s self-confidence and use of the language. The Camps are a fantastic way for young people to gain personal, social and creative skills, relationship building skills, and a general understanding of society and community, through fun and active participation within a safe environment.

We are proud to always receive excellent feedback from the young people who attend our camps - and their parents! - year after year.

We are of course here to answer any questions you might have too, so if you need any extra info you may email us here and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are very grateful to Foras na Gaeilge and to the Dept. of Children and Youth Affairs for supporting the camps through funding.
